Hadees: Show Mercy to People

The Prophet (Sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: 

“He who does not show mercy to people, Allah also does not show mercy to him.” [Bukhari]

When we want to be mean to somebody or punish them, we are able to give ourselves a hundred justifications for it. This hadith gives us one huge compelling reason to put our anger and meanness aside, and practice forgiveness and gentleness instead. No one can do without Allah's mercy, so don't shut the door of goodness on yourself by being petty with others. It's not worth it!

Hadees: Mentioned in the Highest Circles

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah says, ‘I am in accordance with the thoughts of My slave about Me; and I am with him, when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart. If he remembers Me in a group, I remember him in a better group (i.e. angels). If he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by a cubit. If he draws near Me by a cubit, I draw near him by the space covered by outstretched arms. If he walks towards Me, I go to him running.’” [Sahih Bukhari]

This hadith shows how willing and eager Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) is to befriend us and draw close to us. Anybody who sincerely wants Allah in his/her life will find Him. It cannot be that a person is sincere in their search but are not guided to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). The case of Salman Farsi is a perfect example of how the search for truth brought him to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). It is said about him that even if Islam were to be found on the moon, he would have made his way to it. Allah has His own ways of bringing people to that which they seek. Nobody is left helpless in their search. If they are confused, it is only because they wish to remain so. 

In our everyday dhikr we should rejoice in the fact that when we remember Allah Mighty and Majestic, He takes special note of it. When we talk about Him in any gathering, He mentions us in a much superior gathering. Imagine! The most important entity that exists, discusses you with the angels.

Al-Quran's: The key of the Unseen are five:

Narrated Abdullah (RadhiAllahu 'anhu), Allah's Messenger ﷺ said:

"The key of the Unseen are five:

Verily with Allah (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour He sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Verily, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware." (31.34)

[Sahih Bukhari -Book 60, Hadith 151]

Al-Quran: Evil on land

Do not wonder at the large-scale corruption and killing that has drowned the Ummah today. Allah has already explained the 'why' to us. And in the end, He has also expressed hope that perhaps we shall take heed and return back to Him in obedience & worship! The Qur'an says:

"Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of what the hands of men have wrought, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return." (30:41)

Ibn Kathir rahimahullah explains in his Tafseer:

Mujahid said: "Evil on land means the killing of the son of Adam''

Abu Al-Aliyah said: "Whoever disobeys Allah in the earth has corrupted it, because the good condition of the earth and the heavens depends on obedience to Allah.''

Al Qur'an:

And if Allah touches you with harm, there is none who can remove it but He, and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His Favour which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His slaves He wills. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

Verse # 107

Islamic Stories : Gareeb aurt ki madad

سڑک کے کنارے کھمبے پر چپکے کاغذ پر لکھا ہوا تھا

میرے پچاس روپے گم ہو گئے ہیں، جس کو ملیں وہ میرے گھر واقع فلاں گلی پہنچا دے، میں ایک بہت ہی غریب اور بوڑھی عورت ہوں، میرا کوئی کمانے والا نہیں، روٹی خریدنے کیلئے بھی محتاج رہتی ہوں۔

ایک آدمی نے یہ تحریر پڑھی تو وہ کاغذ پر لکھے ہوئے پتے پر پہنچانے چلا گیا۔

جیب سے پچاس روپے نکال کر بُڑھیا کو دیئے تو وہ پیسے لیتے ہوئے رو پڑی۔کہنے لگی: بیٹے آج تم بارہویں آدمی ہو جسے میرے پچاس روپے ملے ہیں اور وہ مجھے پہنچانے چلا آیا ہے۔

آدمی پیسے دیکر مسکراتے ہوئے جانے لگا تو بُڑھیا نے اُسے پیچھے سے آواز دیتے ہوئے کہا:

بیٹے، جاتے ہوئے وہ کاغذ جہاں لگا ہوا ہے اُسے پھاڑتے جاناکیونکہ ناں تو میں پڑھی لکھی ہوں اور ناں ہی میں نے وہ کاغذ اُدھر چپکایا ہے۔

وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

اور آسمان میں تمہارا رِزق (بھی) ہے اور وہ (سب کچھ بھی) جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے

And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised.


سورہ 51 سورہ الزریات آیت 22

Achi Batain: اپنے آپ پر تنقید

یونان کے ایک مصور نے تصویر بنائی۔س میں ایک آدمی کو انگور کا خوشہ پکڑے دکھایا گیا تھا۔ اس نے تصویر کو بازار میں ایک جگہ لٹکا دیا۔ ہر کوئی تصویر کو دیکھتا اور اس کی تعریف کرتا۔ مصور کے کچھ دوست اس سے ملے اورمبارک باد دیتے ہوئے کہنے لگے کہ تم نے انگوروں کا خوشہ اس قدر زبردستبنایا ہے کہ چڑیاں آتی ہیں اور اسے اصل سمجھ کر چونچ مارتی ہیں۔

مصور خوش ہونے کے بجائے افسردہ ہوگیا۔ کہنے لگا: اس کا مطلب ہے کہ آدمیکو بنانے میں مجھ سے غلطی ہوگئی۔ ورنہ چڑیاں اگر آدمی کو بھی اصل سمجھتیںتو اس کے ڈر سے انگوروں پر چونچ مارنے کی جرات نہ کرتیں۔

مصور نے وہ تصویر اتاری اور ایک دوسری تصویر بنائی۔ اس تصویر میں بھی ایکآدمی انگور کا خوشہ لیے کھڑا تھا۔ انگور کا خوشہ دوبارہ اس قدر شان داربنایا گیا تھا کہ چڑیاں اس کو دیکھ کر اس کے پاس آتیں، مگر اب انہیں چونچمارنے کی ہمت نہ ہوتی۔۔۔۔۔ جو آدمی انگور کا خوشہ لیے ہوئے تھا، اس کیآنکھوں میں اس قدر غصہ بھرا تھا کہ چڑیاں اسے دیکھتے ہی ڈر کر اڑ جاتیں۔

دنیا میں اعلی مقام انہی لوگوں نے حاصل کیا ہے جنہوں نے خود اپنے آپ پرتنقید کی، اپنا محاسبہ خود کیا۔ ویسے بھی جب دوسرا تنقید کرتا ہے، نقصنکالتا ہے تو انسان ردعمل کا شکار ہو جاتا ہے۔ انسان اپنے اوپر خود تنقیدکرے، اپنی غلطیاں خود نکالے تو جتنا زور اور جتنا وقت وہ دوسروں سے اسبحث میں لگائے کہ وہ بالکل صحیح ہے، اس میں کوئی نقص نہیں ہے، وہی وقت،وہی کوشش وہ اپنے آپ کو درست کرنے اور اپنی کارکردگی کو بہتر کرنے میںلگا سکتا ہے۔ قرآن کی یہ بات کس قدر حقیقت پر مبنی ہے کہ کامیاب ہوگیا وہجس نے اپنے آپ کو ہر اعتبار سے پاک کیا
